The Flaming Lips Announce Clouds Taste Metallic 20th Anniversary Reissue Box Set

It’s been twenty years since the Flaming Lips released Clouds Taste Metallic, their seventh LP as well as their last album to feature guitarist Ronald Jones. Today, the band announced a deluxe reissue of the record featuring rarities, B-sides, and other ephemera, out November 27 via Warner Bros. Heady Nuggs 20 Years After Clouds Taste Metallic will be available in a number of configurations, including a three-CD collection and a seven-LP boxset. Check out the tracklisting for the CD boxset below.

The first disc contains the whole album ; the second contains a promo-only compilation CD entitled Due To High Expectations The Flaming Lips Are Providing Needles For Your Balloons as well as The King Bug Laughs, a collection of rarities and outtakes; the third contains a previously unreleased live recording from a 1996 gig in Seattle.

The Flaming Lips website will also be carrying exclusive numbered, colored versions of the latter, along with exclusive t-shirts and posters. Individual vinyl LPs will become available at a later date.

NorthEnd Empire Films LLC presents “Irresponsibull” movie. Allen is ready to settle down. Only his girlfriend Theresa doesn’t think he’s anywhere close to being responsible enough to start a family. When an unexpected opportunity arises for Allen to keep Theresa’s nephew and niece (Brian and Britt) and prove his maturity, he jumps to it…without knowing these two kids are not your average youngsters. Marcus is a low level scam artist that works for his uncle, the most “dangerous construction boss” in Chicago. He continues to screw up job after job and is desperate to show his uncle/boss that he can be responsible and counted on in the family business. The boss gives him just one more chance to prove himself. Then, the most unlikely of events happens, causing a chance meeting of Allen and Marcus and starting a downward spiral like no other. Can any of these men make it out and show that they are indeed NOT Irresponsibull?
