YG Explains Why He Pulled Out a Gun in Church (@YG @)
YG has had plenty of crazy moments in his life.
YG has had plenty of crazy moments in his life. From love and friendships to the L.A. gang life, he recounts them all on his debut album, My Krazy Life.
In an interview with VIBE, he shares a few more memories like his first drink, losing his virginity, and why he was in church the first time he pulled out a gun.
YG says he lost his virginity back when he listened to R&B joints by Lloyd and Marques Houston.
“It took a minute to slide up in that thang, fa’sho,” he said. “A n**** was trying to figure it out! [Laughs] It was somebody from around the way—I was low-key talking to her but she wasn’t my girl. I used to listen to Lloyd and Marques Houston back then, all that slow sh*t.”
He also said his first drink resulted in a disastrous hangover.
“I got f***** up,” he said. “I don’t even remember what I was drinking. My momma was asleep. I drank too much and got a hangover, throwing up, all that. Didn’t drink alcohol again until I turned 18 or 19.”
According to YG, his most memorable moment stems from a big party at a church hall. He got into a scuffle with a few foes from around the way, and pulled out his gun in church.
“My best friend gave me my first gun,” he said. “When I held it, I was like, “Ooh wee! This is real!'”..I threw a party in a church hall, but n**** who we had problems with came. They walked up close and I pulled the hammer out on them like, “N****, what’s happenin’?!” Up in the church! They backed back, like, OK, fa’sho.”
