Rapper Alamaj Releases Latest Single, “Fire”

Published

on

Trenton, New Jersey up-and-coming rapper, Alamaj, has released his latest explosive release, “Fire,” which has already amassed over 600,000 streams on Spotify.  Alamaj’s “Fire” tells the story of a tumultuous night in the club – flirting with a woman, getting tipsy, smoking, and having an inner-monologue with himself about his love life and his lifestyle.

The song begins with a fire alarm blaring, which continues throughout the song, with arpeggiating synths behind Alamaj’s rap cadences. Alamaj attacks his first chorus, rapping, “I am three drinks gone/Let that mutha fucka burn bitch, ring the alarm!” As the 808s drop and the high hats flutter in the chorus, he repeats, “let this mutha fucka burn!”

In his first verse, he narrates his conversation with a woman in the club, rapping, “I just told this little b*tch that I’m married and happy/But I can still take it home, make that weave get all nappy.” His verse has a steady flow and comical punch lines, with him stating, “Cheddar bread and some biscuits, but got a taste for that guap.”

His second verse continues with his braggadocious lyrics and a narration of the night, as he talks to one of his friends and says, “You keep blowing up her phone and I know that shit hurts/She keeps stopping when you call, come on king know your worth.” He continues with his sexual thoughts of the night, rapping, “Know what I want, know what I need/Her on my shoulders and her on my knees.” After the second chorus, the song fades out after the fire alarm, high hats, snare, and 808s repeat for the last time.

Alamaj’s “Fire” brings a twist of 2000s New York hip-hop with a fresh new flare, production sound, and lyrical flow, adding to this list of his other uptempo and well-crafted songs.
