New Jersey Singer Apryl Talks New Music, Plans For The Future & Writing A Book

Published

on

As the New Year is upon us, how do you plan on generating more influence on the music industry?

I plan on doing so by doing more live shows, releasing merchandise and by putting out a new full length project.

Why should people listen to your new single “Bruised Girl”?

Bruised Girl speaks to the feelings behind trauma, specifically childhood trauma which I’ve learned influences our adult decisions and relationships. But it doesn’t stop at the feelings of the trauma. It provides you with an affirmation to live and heal. This “Bruised Girl” is going to WIN!

Talk a little bit about the production of this single?

This song was produced by my husband (Evibe Productions) and we started with what we wanted to talk about. This song took many dips and turns but allowed us to infuse our sound with a blues effect hints, and the live guitars as well.

What are some things that you incorporate into your everyday life to prompt your healing process?

I journal everything and create affirmations. I am my biggest critic but I am also my biggest fan. My desire is to be authentic even in my healing.

Can you talk a little about your most recent performance and what your experience was like?

I recently performed for 2 events in the same day. One performance was for Homeless Person’s Memorial Day, and I was able to engage with the homeless and share not just a song, but also share some of my story. This allowed me to comfort them and share words of victory in spite of their situation. However, I started the day sharing with senior citizens as I do every Christmas through a program I call Gifts for Seniors through my program Pink Heart Rehab. I gave gifts, encouraged and sang for them, and it turned out to be encouraging to me as I was not having a great mental health day.

What is up next for Apryl?

A new video that is scheduled for the middle of January on my YouTube channel . I will also have merch ready at the end of January and will finally be publishing a book.

Check out Apryl’s new single “Bruised Girl” below.

Kazon’s ‘My Brother’: A Harmonious Tale of Redemption and Advocacy

Published

on

In the bustling streets of Southeast, Washington DC, rapper Kazon’s latest offering, “My Brother,” emerges as a symphony of redemption and advocacy, resonating with audiences far and wide.

Kazon’s path to musical stardom has been fraught with obstacles, from brushes with the law to a brush with death that left him scarred but unbroken. Through it all, he credits his resilience to the belief that every setback is an opportunity for growth.

With “My Brother,” Kazon takes on the role of a lyrical mentor, offering guidance and solace to Black youth grappling with violence and systemic oppression. Through heartfelt verses and melodic refrains, he shares his own journey of redemption, using his past mistakes as a catalyst for change.

At its core, “My Brother” is a call to action—a plea for unity, love, and advocacy within the Black community. Kazon’s harmonious tale serves as a reminder that through solidarity and advocacy, we can effect real change and pave the way for a brighter future.

As the final notes of “My Brother” fade into the ether, Kazon’s message lingers: every trial is a testament to our strength, and every mistake is a chance to do better. Through his music, he invites us to join him in a journey of redemption and advocacy—one that holds the promise of a more just and equitable world for all.
